Toronto to host Artificial Intelligence World Forum on November 27-28

The Artificial Intelligence World Forum is a 2-day Conference on November 27-28, in Toronto brought to you by the Digital Finance Institute. The Forum brings together top global thought leaders in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to advance the dialogue on the AI Revolution. The AI World Forum will explore leadership trends in Quantum Computing, Robotics, Infrastructure, Health Care, Sexbots, Cyber-Security, Self-Driving Cars, Chatbots, Law & Ethics, Banking, Defence, Food Security and Diversity in AI and its impacts on the global economy.

There will be a networking cocktail party, as part of the 3rd Annual Canadian FinTech and AI Awards on the evening of November 27, 2017, for registered attendees and sponsors of the AI World Forum.

The European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) was rolled out in May this year. It introduced far-reaching implications for companies which process personal data related to EU citizens. Even those far outside the EU could not fail to notice this change. Email inboxes were overflowing with opt-out reminders. Cookie banners now obscure many websites, forcing users to agree to a privacy policy so that they can browse the content on the site. Although the GDPR document itself clocks in at 88 pages, the majority of what it covers can be summed up in one word — consent. If companies are processing personal data, it must be done with the explicit, informed consent of the individual.
